Warwick Village
Warwick Village is an established community of brick townhomes located in Alexandria. Developed in the mid-1950s, the community features 625 homes located on 55 acres. The community draws its name from its prior heritage as the Warwick Estate, the country home of DC grocer, liquor purveyor and philanthropist Frank Hume.
Warwick Village was originally a rental community and was converted to private ownership in 1970. The townhomes at Warwick Village feature 1,102 SF of living space and were originally delivered with three bedrooms and 1.5 bath floor plans. Over the years, owners have made substantial changes to the unit interiors including opening up kitchens, adding bathrooms and reconfiguring three smaller bedrooms into two larger ones.
Located in Alexandria south of W Glebe Road between Mt Vernon Avenue and Russell Road, Warwick Village offers a convenient location for commuting throughout the region. Residents of Warwick Village enjoy walking to the dining and shopping along Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray. The Community is served by the Mount Vernon Community School, George Washington Middle School and the , T.C. Williams High School. The closest Metro station is Braddock Road on the Blue and Yellow lines, located about two miles south of Warwick Village.
