The Duncan

The Duncan is a Dupont Circle landmark, originally commissioned as a private mansion for Dr. William Duncan McKim in 1906 and later served as the Taiwanese Embassy.  The building is distinguished by its original gas lamps and two-story stained glass window.  Converted in 2004 to condo residences, The Duncan is located at the corner of 18th Street and R Street offering nine residences across its four stories.  Residences accommodate pets and feature spacious floor plans, oversize windows and wood burning fireplaces.  The Duncan is located within walking distance of the Dupont Circle Metro Station.
