The Stanton Park neighborhood is located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood and is bounded by 2nd Street NE to the west, F Street NE to the north, 8th Street NE to the east and East Capitol Street to the south. The nearest Metro Stations to Stanton Park are Union Station on the Red Line and Capitol South on the Blue, Orange and Silver Lines. Residents can walk to the Capitol, the Library of Congress, Supreme Court and other federal employers from Stanton Park.

The Capitol Hill Supermarket is located in the Stanton Park neighborhood and a Giant and Whole Foods Market are located a few blocks north on H Street NE. Adjacent neighborhoods to Stanton Park include the Capitol Riverfront, Eastern Market, H Street Corridor and the Navy Yard. Schools serving Stanton Park include Peabody Elementary, Watkins Elementary, Ludlow-Taylor Elementary, Stuart-Hobson Middle and Eastern High.

Stanton Park Recreation

Residents and visitors alike enjoy the four-acre Stanton Park that anchors the neighborhood. Named for Edward Stanton,President Lincoln's Secretary of War During the Civil War, Stanton Park is a beautiful natural oasis in the midst of the city. From a playground to walkways and flower gardens, the park has something for everyone.

Located just to the north of the Stanton Park neighborhood, area residents enjoy working out and plying basketball or tennis at the Sherwood Recreation Center. The restaurants, entertainment venues and shopping in DC's H Street Corridor is within walking distance of the Stanton Park neighborhood.
