Shepherd Park Real Estate
Shepherd Park is a residential neighborhood located in the northern most part of Washington, DC along the border of Silver Spring, MD. The neighborhood is named for Alexander Shepherd, who governed DC in the 1870’s. Much of the neighborhood was developed in the early 1900s and housing styles in Shepherd park include Colonial Revival, Spanish Colonial Revival and Tudor Revival architecture. The neighborhood has a suburban feel with generous yards, tree-lined streets and close proximity to Rock Creek Park.
The boundaries of Shepherd Park are Eastern Avenue to the north, Georgia Avenue to the east, Walter reed Hospital to the south and 16th Street to the west. The Colonial Village neighborhood is located across 16th Street directly to the west of Shepherd Park.
