Rosemont is a neighborhood and a historic district located in Alexandria Virginia. Rosemont is neatly tucked south of Del Ray to the west of Old Town. Rosemont developed in the early part of the 20th century as a street car suburb. The community draws its name from the Philadelphia neighborhood with the same name.
The housing stock of Rosemont is dominated by single-family homes with an eclectic mix of styles including craftsman bungalows, traditional colonials and arts and crafts style homes. While original intact homes are found throughout Rosemont, many homes in the community have been substantially improved and enlarged by developers.
Rosemont is bounded by W. Braddock Road and Russell Road to the north and east and King Street to the south and west. The community is served by both the King Street and Braddock Metro Stations.
