Pomander Walk

Pomander Walk is an alley neighborhood located in Georgetown’s West Village.  This alley runs south from Volta Place directly across from Volta Park.  Historic Pomander Walk features original row houses that once served as slave quarters and is one of the few remaining intact DC alleys.  The ten two-story homes on Pomander Walk are painted with pastel colors.  Alexander Graham Bell supposedly owned a home on Pomander Walk and the alley was formerly known as Bell's Court.
