Pleasant Plains
Pleasant Plains is a neighborhood located in the NW Quadrant of Washington, DC and is home to Howard University. In addition to the university, the community features residential east-west running streets between Georgia Avenue and Sherman Street that are lined with row houses. A planned Town Center at Georgia Avenue and V Street would offer a significant makeover for this section of the neighborhood.
The borders of Pleasant Plains are generally recognized as Harvard Street to the north, McMillan Reservoir, 4th Street and 5th Street to the east, Florida Avenue to the south and Sherman Avenue to the west. Neighborhoods bordering Pleasant Plains include Columbia Heights, LeDroit Park, Park View and Shaw.
