Meridian Hill Studio
Meridan Hill Studio is a 13-unit cooperative that resembles an Arts and Crafts version of a French chateau. The building was designed by George Oakley Totten and opened in 1923 as an apartment building. In 1941, Meridian Hill Studio was converted to a cooperative which is the current form of ownership. Meridian Hill Studios is featured in James Goode's Best Addresses.
The original owner of Meridian Hill Studio was Mary Foote Henderson, who designed the building as home for artists with the vision of enriching the neighborhood. When it opened, Meridan Hill Studio featured a large gallery on the second floor where the buildings residents displayed their work.
Located on 15th Street NW between Euclid Street and Fulton Street, Meridian Hill Studios is located near both the U Street Corridor, Adams Morgan and Columbia Heights and its Green Line Metro Station. The Harris Tweeter, Giant and Trader Joe's are all in close proximity.
