Mather Studios
Mather Studios is a former Downtown DC office building that was converted to residential use in 2004 by PN Hoffman. The original building was constructed in 1917, but now offers an historic setting for condominium residences. Located in Penn Quarter, the 10-story structure features 50 market-rate lofts as well as 12 affordable artist studios located on the second and third floors, home to many prominent individuals in the city’s art scene. The building also includes office space for the Cultural Development Corporation and Flashpoint, including a dance studio, arts organizations, a theatre and a gallery. The sophisticated lobby of Mather Studios features custom artwork, granite flooring and designer lighting, setting the stage for the sleek, modern interiors of the residential units above.
