Eisenhower Avenue Metro Station

Once a railyard, Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria has since been redeveloped into a modernized version of Old Town. The neighborhoods sit relatively close together, but each has its own unique attributes.  While historic Old Town is well known for its centuries-old buildings and brick-lined sidewalks, Eisenhower Avenue is where you’ll find high-rise office buildings, residential complexes, and luxury hotels. Situated on the southern side of Alexandria, Eisenhower Avenue is still walkable like Old Town, but the architecture is decidedly more contemporary.
