First step: click on floor plan tour in the property website. It's a great way to see how this unit flows and safe to do under COVID 19 guidelines. Here's what the owner says: "What a rare combination of modern living in an historic setting. Every sunny morning, the sun shines through the windows and puts a smile on my face (and my plants thrive!). There is so much space to move and breathe--large rooms, high ceilings, (a few stairs, but more like a split level than a full flight so it makes it interesting but not too taxing!), office/den with built-in bookcases for your intellectual life. Closets are large enough for all my clothing and belongings. I love to cook and the kitchen with island , counter space and storage is a dream not seen in most 1 BR condos. There is a room to do your morning yoga OR change your furniture around or sit in a different place every day. Loads of wall space to create your gallery. The walls are thick, having been originally built in 1925, they keep the temperature just right--not too hot, not too chilly. You can play your music or TV loud if you want and no one hears you, LOL!! Open the windows, this is the quietest side of the building, so, your hear the birds but not the beltway! From my living room you can see the rose window of the chapel and imagine you are in Prague or Paris OR step outside and see the Pagoda and imagine you are in Nagasaki. Go to the gym without having to get in your car or even go outside, work out and watch a movie or CNN (it's hardly ever crowded). You can play pool or a tune on the piano in the stately historic community room which also can be reserved to entertain a large group (even has a kitchen/bar). Just outside my door I can run, bike, hike, walk the dog on a trail into Rock Creek. My door is steps away from the exit and access to my covered parking space in the garage...it's also the quietest part of the property. Most of all, it's a community with people who watch out for each other if you need it. We have monthly gatherings, newsletters and walking partners if you are so inclined. It's a wonderful and unique place to live!
