Island Creek is a planned community comprising a mix of single-family homes, town homes and condominiums in the Kingstowne area of Alexandria, Virginia.  The majority of the homes were constructed in 2000, with more than 1200 residences available, including both garden and townhouse style-condos.  Residents have exclusive access to Island Creek amenities, including the use of two outdoor swimming pools, and meticulously landscaped common areas.  Residents also enjoy tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts as well as five children's playgrounds and an extensive network of tree-lined biking and jogging trails winding throughout the community.  At the heart of the community is a spacious clubhouse which is rented out for parties, special events, or meetings.  The clubhouse is the site of community fairs, yard sales, BBQs, and other neighborhood events sponsored throughout the year.
