Hillbrook is located in Northeast DC, directly to the south of Deanwood.  It is bounded by Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue to the north, Division Avenue to the east, Brooks Street to the south and 44th Street to the west.

For those living in the established neighborhood, it has the advantage of sitting less than two miles away from not one, but three subway stations. That’s an extra layer of convenience for homebuyers who come to the area.

While you won’t find many grocery stores, restaurants, or other retailers within walking distance of area homes, there are some options that aren’t too far away from Hillbrook. The neighborhood does sit conveniently close to Fort Dupont Park, which is a popular spot for biking and hiking, tennis, basketball, and baseball.

The large, wooded park even boasts community gardens, and it hosts a summer event series. The neighborhood’s middle school also has a nearby rec center.

Just a few years ago, Zillow named Hillbrook as one of DC’s hottest neighborhoods in terms of forecasted home value growth. The small neighborhood tends to have mostly single-family homes for buyers to choose from.

You will additionally find some foursquares in the neighborhood of Hillbrook for prospective new residents to consider.  Recent listings in the neighborhood include homes with up to four-bedrooms priced under $500,000.
