Fourteenth Street Historic District
The Fourteenth Street Historic District recognizes an area of Washington, DC that developed along one of the city's first street car lines. While the historic district is primarily residential in nature, a major commercial and transportation corridor along 14th Street is part of the District. Residential architecture prominent in the Fourteenth Street Historic District include ante-bellum dwellings, Victorian row houses and turn-of-the-century apartment buildings.
The Fourteenth Street Historic District is roughly bounded by S Street to the north, 11th and 12th Streets to the east, N Street and O Street to the south and Sixteenth Street Historic District to the west.
