Foggy Bottom is a historic neighborhood located in the NW quadrant of Washington, DC. Foggy Bottom draws its unique name from its riverfront location and the fog and smoke which were prevalent during the neighborhood's 19th century industrial period.
Foggy Bottom is home to George Washington University, which has a defining role in the character of this community.
