Prospective residents are also enticed by Evermay’s location and its home designs. The well-kept, single-family homes and properties of Evermay are mostly made up of a mix of brick Colonials, ranch-style homes and even some split-level designs.
It’s common to find cedar shake shingle roofs in the neighborhood, along with either all brick or brick and block exteriors. The lots are often well landscaped and maintained, as well.
Homes in Evermay first started going up in the 1960s, with some of the final homes built in the 1980s. Despite their age, many of the well-built homes of Evermay have been updated or renovated over the years and decades since.
These days, there are around 160 single-family homes in the community. The majority of them sit on the south side of Route 123, but there are some homes on the north side.
Along with the impressive homes of Evermay, many people choose the neighborhood for its prime location. While you won’t find any restaurants or stores in the neighborhood itself, Downtown McLean is only about 1.5-miles away, while Tysons Corner is within a 15-minute drive of the homes of Evermay.
The neighborhood is also within walking distance of The Potomac School and its sports fields. Residents of Evermay are known to frequently gather for events and festivities too, including progressive dinners, a spring festival and holiday get-togethers, including parades.
