Eastern Market Real Estate

Eastern Market is an area located in DC's Capitol Hill neighborhood that draws its name from the historic market located there.  The boundaries of Eastern Market are often debated but roughly defined as E. Capitol Street to the north, 11th Street to the East, Pennsylvania Avenue to the southeast and 3rd Street to the west.

Eastern Market's housing stock is dominated by row houses many of which are either have Victorian or Federal period designs.  The strict regulations of the Capitol Hill Historic District have helped to keep many of these row houses true to their original design.  Condo developments in the Eastern sub-market include Butterfield House and Grace Church.
