Chevy Chase is a neighborhood located in the Northwest Quadrant of Washington DC. Chevy Chase is bounded by Rock Creek park to the east, Western Avenue and Tennyson Street to the north, Reno Road to the west and Broad Branch Road to the south.
DC neighborhoods adjacent to Chevy Chase include Barnaby Woods, Forest Hills and Friendship Heights. Chevy Chase is served by the Van Ness-UDC, Tenleytown-AU and Friendship Heights Metro Stations.
Chevy Chase developed as a street car suburb in the early 1900s. Many of the original homes built in Chevy Chase were Sears Catalog homes and a large percentage of these homes still remain today. Many Chevy Chase residents live in condo developments that line Connecticut Avenue.
