Cherrydale History
This North Arlington neighborhood credits its name to a cherry orchard that once stood in the area. In fact, farming was once widespread in what we now call Cherrydale.
Growth began to take off around the turn-of-the-century when rail service came to the area. It helped contribute to Cherrydale’s suburban-like appeal.
Cherrydale Homes
To this day, the neighborhood still offers tall trees, quiet streets and more of a small-town atmosphere. Houses in Cherrydale today tend to range from historic frame houses to craftsmen-style homes.
Some of the homes in this part of Arlington are catalog homes. While mostly single-family residences, you will also find a much smaller collection of townhomes, condos and apartments.
