Carver Langston Real Estate
Carver Langston is a neighborhood in the Northeast quadrant of Washington, DC that directly borders on the Western bank of the Anacostia River. While Carver and Langston are technically two neighborhoods, they are generally grouped together as a single-entity. Carver draws its name from George Washington Carver, a famous black inventor and Langston is named after John Mercer Langston an abolitionist, attorney and political advocate. Langston was the first President of Virginia State University and also the first African-American from Virginia elected to the U.S. Congress.
The boundaries of the Carver Langston neighborhood are Bladensburg Road to the west, M street to the north, 22nd and 26th streets to the east and Benning Road to the south. Maryland Avenue serves as the boundary between Carver to the north and Langston to the south.
Carver Langston residents utilize the H Street - Benning Road street car line that runs along the southern boundary of the neighborhood. New developments including Atlas Lofts and The View are taking shape in the Carver Langston neighborhood.
