Capitol Riverfront
The Capitol Riverfront is an emerging neighborhood in the SE and SW quadrants of Washington, DC. The Capitol Riverfront vision is to transform an industrial area into a diverse mixed-use neighborhood featuring a business center, urban residential enclave and an entertainment district. Anchoring the neighborhood is Nationals Park, home to the Washington Nationals baseball team. This 500-acre neighborhood features 1.5 miles of frontage on the Anacostia River.
The Capitol Riverfront primarily features new construction residential housing. Currently, both high-rise condo and row house options have been delivered in the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood.
The Capitol Riverfront neighborhood is bounded by the Southeast Freeway to the north, Pennsylvania Avenue to the west, the Anacostia River to the south, and South Capitol Street, P Street, Q Street and 2nd Street to the west. Communities adjacent to the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood are: Capitol Hill, Buzzard Point, Anacostia, the Navy Yard and Fort McNair.
The Capitol Riverfront is served by the Navy Yard and Capitol South Metro Stations. The neighborhood is also served by both I-395 and I-295.
