Burleith Real Estate
Burleith is a quiet, upscale neighborhood in the northwest quadrant of Washington.D.C. The community is purely residential, comprising 535 single-family row houses that were built in the 1920s as well as serving as the home of the French embassy. The area takes its name from an 18th-century estate and is one of the District’s hidden jewels. Many residents refer to their neighborhood as “North Georgetown” because of the low name recognition.
Unlike Georgetown, however, Burleith is known for relatively moderate home prices. Nestled alongside Glover-Archbold Park, Burleith features a green, park-like atmosphere but is still within easy walking distance of the Wisconsin Avenue shops as well as the major local highways. The gated community of Hillandale is found in Burleith.
Burleith is bordered by Whitehaven Park to the north, Wisconsin Avenue to the east, Georgetown and Reservoir Road to the south, and Glover-Archbold Park to the west.
