More About Broyhill Forest
Broyhill Forest History
Broyhill Forest itself can be traced back generations, although parts of it have continued to develop in the time since. The majority of homes in the neighborhood were constructed starting from the early 1950s, with even some new construction possibilities.
The very first homes in Broyhill Forest are credited to the Broyhill Company. Headed by a man named Marvin Broyhill, the company originally built 150 homes as part of a master-planned neighborhood.
The homes came in eight different styles. Originally, the first homes of Broyhill Forest sold for $19,000 to $27,000, as the neighborhood was marketed as a new, luxury community of single-family homes.

It’s not unusual, though, for homes to sell at even higher prices in the community. The larger homes tend to hold their value, too.
Not surprisingly, prices have soared in the years and decades since. These days you’ll typically find up to fix-bedrooms and up to seven-baths with the homes of Broyhill Forest.
Options include a six-bedroom, 5.5-bath home with 6,600 square feet of living space. This particular home is priced in the high $2 million range. All residents, meanwhile, are left to enjoy the neighborhood’s rolling landscape, its abundant greenspace and its forested lots.
