This quiet neighborhood also boasts green space like picturesque Bon Air Memorial Rose Garden and the addition of Lacey Woods Park. Lacey Woods, in particular, is a favorite for sports teams and for its picnic shelter and playground. In addition, you’ll find wooded areas and nature trails for outdoor fun and recreation in the park.

Altogether, this urban neighborhood has seven neighborhood parks and two commercial areas. The primary commercial district runs along Wilson Boulevard, while the other is part of the Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor.

When it comes to restaurants, the neighborhood boasts a number of locally-owned establishments for diners to choose from. Options range from Thai to Italian to Lebanese.

Bluemont Location

Home to about 8,000 residents today, Bluemont sits in west central Arlington County. Much of the neighborhood consists of parks, low-density commercial and residential development.

The town also offers easy access to public transportation and to I-66, making it easier for commuters to travel around the region. For all of these reasons and more, Bluemont is a past winner when it comes to one of the Best Places to Live in America.

The honor comes from Niche.com, which describes the neighborhood as a popular place for young professionals. Analysts looked at a number of different categories, including schools, nightlife, and the cost of living.

The website ranked Bluemont tops in 2019 with an overall grade of A+. According to Niche.com, Bluemont gets an A+ for families, schools and nightlife. It received an A for housing and high marks for diversity, as well.
