What Locals Love About Falls Church

From its homes to its local conveniences, there’s plenty for locals to love about living in Falls Church. Known by some as “The Little City”, Falls Church may not be big in size, but the city is packed with things to see, do, and experience.

Taking its name from a mid 1700s-era church of the same name, Falls Church has the charm of a small town, but the convenience of a shorter commute. Falls Church offers access to bike paths like the Four Mile Run Trail, plus it also offers interesting cafes, independently owned businesses, a diverse mix of restaurants and more.

It’s the kind of place where you can spend your Saturday strolling around the weekly farmers market or taking in live music at one of the annual events and festivals. At the center of town, you’ll find dozens of shops, coffee houses and places to grab a bite to eat.

A local hardware store dates back to the late 1800s, plus you’ll also find an art gallery and some indie bookstores in the area. The largest Vietnamese shopping center on the entire East Coast is found in Falls Church, plus area restaurants offer up the opportunity to sample a variety of global delights.

An old farmhouse and museum in Falls Church offers everything from camps to school programs and teas. There’s an old-school theater in Falls Church too that’s known to host national and local bands.

Public schools are highly rated in Fall Church, which also gets high marks for its health and fitness opportunities. There are more than a dozen local parks, which makes it an ideal spot for outdoor recreation and greenspace.

Yet another great reason to live in Falls Church has to do with its residential options. The city boasts single-family homes, condos, townhomes, and apartments for prospective new residents to choose from.
