New condos and townhomes are headed to Old Town. A conversion project is currently underway, redeveloping the old Crowne Plaza Hotel into residential units and a performing arts theater along the Potomac waterfront.

Part of Alexandria’s Old Town North neighborhood, Venue allows for residential floor plans ranging from around 500 square feet to 2,300 square feet of living space. While the condos of Venue will make up the 13-story existing tower, the adjacent townhomes will serve up even more options for buyers in Old Town.

The townhomes of Venue are expected to include four-bedrooms, 3.5-baths and a two-car garage. There will also be the option of an in-home elevator, some flexible living space and a private rooftop terrace for the enjoyment of premiere outdoor living space in Old Town.

Buyers of the new Venue condos can also expect to find floor-to-ceiling glass, serving up some impressive views overlooking the nearby Potomac River. As far as community amenities, future residents of Venue will no doubt enjoy the property’s rooftop deck as well, supplying its own views of the river and nearby Montgomery Park.

The condo project will also offer access to a fitness center, a bike room and a dog wash. Another big draw of the property will likely be the future addition of MetroStage.

Anchoring the arts district, the new performing arts theater is planned to make up the base of the tower, supplying easy access for residents to enjoy live music and entertainment just steps from the residences of Venue. In addition, Venue sits just adjacent to the popular Mount Vernon Trail for outdoor recreation and just a few blocks away from the dining, shopping and entertainment venues of nearby King Street.

The location is also a short distance from National Landing and Amazon’s new HQ2. The new Venue project is set to be finished sometime later this year.
