Tribeca Breaks Ground in NoMa
A new condo development pushes forward in NoMa as crews officially break ground on Tribeca. The highly anticipated 99-unit building is going in just two blocks from the closest Metro station and will soon provide some of the mixed-use neighborhood’s very first new for-sale multi-family units.
Sales for the new condos are expected to begin in early 2020, with options including one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus a den and two-bedroom floor plans. Priced starting in the high $400,000s, the 13-story property will likely deliver sometime next year.
Future buyers at Tribeca will also be treated to a rooftop deck, clubroom and a fitness center. With views overlooking the Capitol Building, the East End and the Capitol Hill neighborhood, the property also delights in an impressive location.
The NoMA neighborhood easily puts residents of Tribeca close to nearby shopping including grocery stores and coffee shops, plus trendy restaurants and food shops in the area. This rapidly growing neighborhood is home to popular Union Market and a number of unique opportunities for shopping.
The boutique building replaces a former auto repair shop in the neighborhood. It also fills a real need in terms of available real estate.
Many recent residential properties in NoMA have been rentals, although there are some newer condo properties like Tribeca giving prospective buyers in the area another choice. Investors and area leaders have focused on bringing new hotels, office space, retailers and, of course, more residential options to the neighborhood over the past several years.
The neighborhood’s also seen more attention to building up its green space and parks, hoping to attract new residents to the area along with keeping existing residents in this growing community. The appealing address of Tribeca, close to the NoMa/Gallaudet University Metro Station, also allows for a more convenient commute around the rest of the surrounding DC area.
