Now the location of multi-story luxury townhomes, the site of Liberty Row once served a very different role in Old Town Alexandria. With ties to the hospitality industry, the site was originally built up as a conference center for a local motor lodge.
In more recent time it served as the setting for a late 1960s hotel with around 50 hotel rooms. The demolition of the old hotel in more recent time brought an end to one of the last inexpensive hotels in the area.
It’s since been replaced with four-story, upscale townhomes in colonial style architecture. With such desirable features as hardwood floors and gourmet kitchens, the brick townhomes of Liberty Row appeal to those in search of more space in a new construction setting.
