Sheridan Garage Where Industrial Meets Luxury in Georgetown
Sheridan Garage is a boutique luxury condo building in Georgetown interestingly transformed from a unique historic parking garage. The 34 high-end residential units in the contemporary condominium are in the tony Georgetown neighborhood of DC in the heart of Georgetown’s East Village section. Located at 2516 Q Street, NW, residents of Sheridan Garage have a short walk to M Street and Wisconsin Avenue filled with restaurants and shops; Rock Creek Park; and Dupont Circle Metro Station on the Red Line.
The leafy residential area is home to the original shell of the garage that is now the façade for Sheridan Garage. The original garage was completed in 1923, and serviced and stored early-model cars dating to that era. The metal letters spelling out “Sheridan Garage” are still visible. The building has been lovingly restored to its original industrial appearance. Two newer wings flank the original building. It is now a 3-building property with a red brick elegant exterior. One building looks like two historic townhouses on the West that are attached by glass walkways to the original garage. The glass walkway adjoins a newer 3-story building on the East. Keener-Squire Properties developed Sheridan Garage, with architecture design by Shalom Baranes Associates and Eric Colbert Associates.
All residential floor plans are individually designed, ranging in size from a 500 square foot studio to a 2,400 square foot 3 BR | 2.5 BA penthouse. While no two condos have exact floor plans, they do all share the same luxurious materials, such as red oak flooring, gas fireplaces, minimalist glass and steel chandeliers, limestone bathrooms, recessed lighting, soaring ceilings, large industrial casement windows from floor to ceiling, and some residential units enjoy private balconies. Each unit comes with a parking space underground. Most units have stainless steel Bosch appliances. Penthouses are furnished with Wolfe ranges and Sub-Zero refrigerators.
