Portrait Square Now Selling in Brookland
New multi-level townhomes are currently under construction near the corner of Irving Street NW and 7th Street NE in Brookland. Portrait Square at Brookland consists of a collection of nearly two-dozen four-story townhomes with three-bedrooms and 3.5-baths.
Priced starting in the high $800,000s, the townhomes of Portrait Square come in two different floor plans, offering up your choice of either a one- or two-car garage. Each townhome includes an open design with an upper story loft and a rooftop terrace.
The main level of the home is where buyers will delight in a living room, dining area and kitchen, plus the choice of an optional deck. The lowest level of the townhome provides space for the garage, plus an optional rec room or study.
Buyers can expect to find stainless steel kitchen appliances, quartz countertops and a built-in pantry. As well, the townhomes come complete with high ceilings, a mix of hardwoods and carpeting, in-home laundry connections and plenty of energy efficient design features.
In addition, all of the townhomes of Portrait Square include a landscaped front yard. Plans originally called for more than 40 townhomes to make up the development.
Due to concerns raised by the DC Zoning Commission, the developer reduced the total number of homes in Portrait Square to just 22 before proceeding with construction. Furnished model homes are now open during select days and times for viewing.
As for the surrounding area, DC’s popular Brookland neighborhood is most notably home to Catholic University of America, and the vibrancy of The Arts Walk at Monroe Street. From local breweries and bistros to restaurants and galleries, it’s all simply a short walk away from the new townhomes of Portrait Square. As well, the new townhomes are also just a short distance from the closest Metro Station, making for an easier commute around the DC area.
