Private investment money is being poured into the Pleasant Plains neighborhood of Northwest DC with its proximity to Howard University as the neighborhood adds residential units, new restaurants, cafes, yogurt and coffee shops. Businesses are taking advantage of the large daytime and evening populations. Howard University has a student population of more than 10,000 and 5,000 Howard University Hospital staff. Numerous retail opportunities and exciting plans combine to increase activity in and surrounding the area around the campus.
