One of the Shaw neighborhood’s newest luxury condo buildings is selling fast. Perla debuted in April, but already many of its 66 residences have sold.
The sales gallery remains open, where prospective buyers can currently view a model home. An on-site model also opens this month for tours, while all units are expected to be completed sometime later this fall.
Some of the most popular options at Perla include the large two-bedrooms and the penthouse units, complete with massive terraces. While the one-bedroom floor plans are more limited, the property also includes some one-bedroom plus a den and two-bedroom plus a den floor plans.
Typically, this gives buyers options starting at around 700 square feet of living space. There are also some much larger condos with more than 1,800 square feet of space.
The condos of Perla come with such high-end and innovative additions as high ceilings, wide plank oak hardwoods, floor-to-ceiling windows and even some penthouse units with “smart windows” that switch from clear to opaque. Other inclusions range from the quartz countertops and Italian cabinetry to large soaking tubs and spa-like baths.
With unobstructed views of the National Cathedral and the Washington Monument, Perla also invites its future residents with such shared amenities as a full-time concierge, a SkyTop Suite prime for entertaining, a private garage and some electric car charging stations. In addition, the pet-friendly property will include bike storage and extra storage space.
Located at the corner of 9th Street and O Street NW, the surrounding Shaw neighborhood puts future residents within a short distance of several options in coffee shops, art galleries and restaurants, as well as a short walk away from fitness centers and grocery stores. From the nearby 14th Street Corridor to U Street, residents of Perla will no doubt be treated to a number of options in one of DC’s most coveted neighborhoods.
