New Enclave of Sleek Condos Spring Up Along Georgia Avenue
Home to just 18 new construction residences, a new enclave of sleek condos has just sprung up along Georgia Avenue. Called Maddox, the new boutique condo building sits in DC’s desirable Park View neighborhood.
While most of the homes of Park View tend to be Wardman-style rowhouses, Maddox brings a new sense of energy to the neighborhood, with truly contemporary features. Buyers can choose from either one- or two-bedroom floorplans in the new building, plus there’s also the option for a penthouse unit at Maddox.
The modern condo building includes homes with open floor plans, gourmet kitchens and light wood floors. New buyers can also expect to find large windows with the upper floor units, allowing for plenty of natural light to flow throughout the homes.
In addition, the new homes come with white flat panel cabinetry and white baths. You will also find some stainless-steel appliances, and the convenience of in-unit laundry at Maddox. While the floorplans of Maddox aren’t as large as some other DC properties, the condos do provide the advantage of new construction and modern style points.
DC’s Park View neighborhood sits in the Northwest Quadrant of the city. That means living close to the Old Soldier’s Home and close to Howard University.
As for nearby retailers, residents of Maddox are sure to find plenty to options to choose from up and down Georgia Avenue. Originally formed by the combination of several different neighborhoods around the turn-of-the-century, Park View gains its namesake from the grounds of the Old Soldier’s Home, which used to be open to the public.
Today, the neighborhood offers community gardens and a local rec center close to an elementary school. That’s where you’ll find a small park and outdoor fitness center, as well as a basketball court, soccer field, fenced-in playground, and a children’s pool.
