A fashionable DC neighborhood already well known for its high-profile residents now has another big name to add to the growing list. New U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson just purchased a multi-million dollar home in Kalorama, the same area that former President Barack Obama and current first daughter Ivanka Trump already call home.

According to recent records, Tillerson purchased the home for $5.6 million from a former AOL executive about a week after his Senate confirmation. Constructed in the late 1920s, the semi-detached home offers a basement, three fireplaces and a two-car garage. It also includes four-bedrooms and 4.5-baths.

Noted for its sprawling homes and exclusive properties, Kalorama is quickly shaping up to be “The Place to Live in 2017”. Several influential names in the political world are either making plans to move to the community or already call Kalorama home.

While the Republicans and Democrats seem mostly split down party lines on some of the major issues facing our country, it appears two of the most notable families are about to share at least one thing in common; the place they call home. Outgoing President Barack Obama and his family recently signed on to lease a 1920s-style home in Kalorama Heights.

Other upscale residences, including the soon-to-be home of the eldest daughter of President-Elect Donald Trump, surround the $5.3 million mansion.

Many have recently speculated that a move to DC was imminent for the future first daughter as she and her famous father come closer to disclosing what her role will be in his upcoming administration.

The six-bedroom home also offers 5.5-baths, a garden, sunroom and five fireplaces. While records show the home sold in late December for $5.5 million it has not been released whether Ivanka and her husband purchased the home themselves or whether they are renting from the new buyer. Regardless, the home comes with an exclusive address. It
