DC’s MidCity Neighborhood Has It All

MidCity delivers a true urban living experience for young professionals in an area of Northwest DC centered around 14th and U Streets.  The MidCity neighborhood offers diverse ethnic dining options; boutique retailers; upscale residential lofts and condominiums; and entertainment and art galleries.

Named one of DC’s most walkable neighborhoods, MidCity residents can enjoy coffee shops, hip restaurants, home furnishings stores and fitness centers.  Great retail in the neighborhood includes Whole Foods Market, Matchbox, Busboys & Poets, and coming in 2014, a Trader Joe’s grocery store, as well as a growing nightlife with theaters and clubs.

The MidCity area includes 14th and U Street corridors, where the established neighborhoods of Logan Circle, Dupont Circle, Columbia Heights and Adams Morgan come together.  The MidCity neighborhood is bounded by 16th Street to the west, Florida Avenue to the north, 7th Street to the east, and Rhode Island Avenue to the south.

More than 4,000 new and refurbished loft apartments and condos have sprung up as a result of renewal of this commercial area, and 150 new retail businesses have opened since 2001.  To explore home and condo ownership options, here is a resource to view active MidCity real estate listings.
