City Ridge -- New Northwest Icon

Already being called a new Northwest icon, City Ridge is on its way to becoming one of the region’s most anticipated new mixed-use developments. The new condos of City Ridge are still under construction, but the entire project is already gaining a lot of interest.
The reimagined property is coming together on the old Fannie Mae Campus in Northwest DC and will eventually include around 700 residential units and hundreds of thousands of square feet of commercial space. As part of the existing 10-acre development, crews are preserving the old Fannie Mae building and its large front lawn, which will eventually be turned into a large and open green space for all in the community to enjoy.
Perhaps the most anticipated commercial part of the development is a new Wegmans grocery store. As the very first Wegmans in DC, the store will anchor the property’s commercial space from the lowest level of the main building.
Reports suggest a great deal of retail and office space will also be joining the project, which will eventually total more than one-million square feet of redevelopment. Described as an urban village, crews are repurposing the old building and bringing a new use to the property.
Fannie Mae moved out of the building a couple of years ago. Along with its great lawn, the property will also feature a rooftop swimming pool.
Conveniently close to the trails and paths of Glover-Archbold Park, the property is also within walking distance of the Tenleytown Metro Station and simply a short drive away the many offerings of Downtown DC.
It also sits close to the National Cathedral and within a short stroll of several shopping and dining options in the surrounding area. The name City Ridge is reportedly derived from its location. The property sits on ridgeline between two stream valleys.
