City Homes Coming to Eckington
Some sophisticated new condos are headed to Eckington. City Homes is scheduled to open in spring of 2021, with your choice of 45 new condominium homes.
The multi-story homes come together to form one of Eckington’s newest condominium properties. Buyers have their choice of a one-, two- or even three-bedroom floor plan, spread across either two-or three levels of living space.
The rare floor plans are said to be ideal for those who want a bit more privacy or are looking for space more conducive to work or entertainment space. Buyers can also expect to find large windows, allowing for an influx of natural light to flow throughout the homes.
The contemporary property also includes some private outdoor living space, with patios or balconies depending on the unit. Some of the homes come with access to private roof deck terraces with sweeping views looking out over the surrounding neighborhood and even providing some views of Washington monuments.
City Homes is part of a larger project, which eventually aims to bring in hundreds of new homes and tens of thousands of square feet of retail space to the area. At home in the heart of the Eckington neighborhood, City Homes is just minutes away from Union Market.
It’s located just to the north of NoMa and to the east of Bloomingdale in DC’s Northeast Quadrant. Mostly dominated by row houses and some industrial on its eastern edge, City Homes brings an exciting new option to buyers searching in the Eckington neighborhood.
As one of DC’s oldest, the neighborhood first developed in the late 1800s. This family-oriented community is home to a popular rec center and it’s close to the nearby National Arboretum.
It is also close to the popular Howard Theatre and several dining options. While not far from Downtown DC either, Eckington offers the appeal of a more quiet and peaceful setting.
