Cameron Station is a friendly, close-knit community of single-family homes, townhomes and condos located in the West End of Alexandria, Virginia, approximately 7 miles south of DC. Cameron Station’s Main Street is infused with shops and restaurants with condominiums above retail. The Main Street is a wide expanse on Ben Brenman Boulevard. The planned neighborhood is made up of 975 townhomes, 726 condos and 32 detached homes includes many bike trails, green spaces and recreational amenities. Alexandria’s Cameron Station has many daily conveniences that city residents look for when searching for a home base.
A safe and family-oriented neighborhood, Cameron Station showcase 18th and 19th century style homes that mimic the 18th century Colonial architecture style of the area; brick sidewalks; and Colonial-style street lamps. The Main Street-style Ben Brenman Boulevard includes rows of condos above storefronts that boast a café, a market and a dry cleaner.
Three parks, with athletic fields, a pond, picnic pavilion, a dog park, and a farmer’s market surround the community. Along the rear of the neighborhood, there is mostly green space adjoining a walking and biking trail. The amenities---as part of the Cameron Station Community Association---include Cameron Club, which offers classes, a fitness center and gym, spa & salon, a basketball court, outdoor adult and children’s pools, and a free shuttle to the Van Dorn Metro Station. The Cameron Club also hosts social activities for its residents like a Monday Martini get-together.
