Buchanan School: Ditto Meets Hill East
Sales are moving at a brisk pace at Buchanan School, where a number of condos are under contract in Hill East. This project by Ditto Residential includes 41 sleek new condo units, reimagined within the walls of the old Buchanan School building.
First constructed in the late 1800s, the property remained a school for about a century before finally closing its doors to the public in the mid 1990s. A few years ago, Ditto began the process or restoring the structure, and incorporating new condos into the property.
Ditto’s plan from the beginning of the project has been to blend both old and new elements, redesigning the property into a sophisticated, yet classic residential offering. In addition, the property sits a short distance from desirable locations such as Barracks Row, Eastern Market and Lincoln Park. As well, Buchanan School is only a short distance from several Metro stations, making it easy to travel and commute throughout the area.
