Bradley Beal Buys in McLean
The highest paid player in the history of the Washington Wizards is now a homeowner in McLean. Bradley Beal signed a $128 million dollar deal with the team this past summer, and most recently presumably used some of his expected earnings to lay down roots with a new 11,000 square foot home.
The shooting guard paid $3.2 million in October for a six-bedroom, nine-bath mansion originally on the market for more than $3.4 million. The French Provincial-style home includes a formal dining room and wood floored family room with a fireplace, along with custom arched doors leading to a patio, complete with another fireplace and sound system for outdoor living and entertaining space. The large lot also includes enough room for a pool to compliment the already existing outdoor space, should Beal decide to put one in.
Other features of the home include professional-grade appliances in the kitchen, a home gym and a home office with built-ins. As well, the massive home also offers a home theater room and a master bedroom topped with a crystal chandelier and warmed with yet another wood-burning fireplace.
McLean is well known for its upscale residences and shops, home to some of the wealthiest residents in the entire DC area. Several lawmakers, justices and foreign diplomats own residences in McLean, an area surrounded by a variety of home styles and plentiful acreage for added privacy.
The 23-year old, number three draft-pick from 2012 is currently tied to a five-year contract with the Wizards, one of just a handful of players in the franchise to have signed deals in excess of $100 million. Although plagued with recent injuries, Beal’s top goal for this season is to stay healthy as he continues with his teammates, the Washington Wizards, and makes his new home in beautiful McLean.
