Arizona Avenue is a street located in the Northwest Quadrant of Washington, DC. Arizona Avenue runs from Potomac Avenue NW in the Palisades neighborhood to Loughboro Road in the Kent neighborhood. This exclusive, wooded street is a DC power address and home to political, business and diplomatic leaders. Arizona Avenue intersects with McArthur Boulevard at the center of the Palisades commercial district. A 1961 plan that was never implemented called for a bridge to built over the Potomac River that would connect Arizona Avenue with the George Washington Memorial Parkway in Arlington.
