Old Town
Old Town in Alexandria Virginia is one of the most desirable Northern Virginia neighborhoods, known for its historic charm and close proximity to the District. Its elegant Colonial era townhouses and brick and cobblestone streets, coupled with exclusive waterfront condos, all add to its allure. Old Town is also a popular destination for tourists and artists, showcasing the works of more than 80 artists at its popular Torpedo Factory landmark.
The area combines exclusive shops and boutiques with upscale eateries and restaurants along King Street. With borders stretching along the Potomac River, Old Town also features a number of parks and trails that are popular with visitors and residents alike for biking and jogging. Old Town Alexandria is divided into four quadrants – NE, NW, SE, and SW – with neighborhoods such as St. Asaph Square, Old Town Greens, and Potowmack Crossing, among the more well known subdivisions.
Old Town is served by the King Street Metro on the Blue/Yellow Line and is bordered by the Potomac River on the west, on the north by Slater’s Lane and the Beltway to the south.
