Dozens of new condos are coming to Capitol Hill with the addition of two condo buildings where an old church once stood. The buildings take the place of the church and three former townhouses, rising up together to bring stylish new residential selections to the area.
Located just two blocks away from the Potomac Avenue Metro station, developer Pecar Properties is constructing a total of 46 condos, the Stone Hill condos at 1345 K Street and the Stone Flats at 1337 K Street. The majority of those units will be part of Stone Hill, which will soon offer three-dozen condo units, scheduled for a Fall 2017 delivery.
Meanwhile, the adjacent Stone Flats already offers 10 luxury condos for presale. The homes range from one- and two- bedroom units to large penthouse lofts, complete with a private sun deck and sensational views. The penthouse homes also offer soaring, 18-foot ceilings and high-end features such as heated bathroom floors.
The largest unit there includes more than 1,000 square feet of interior living space in addition to the nearly 900 square foot rooftop deck. One-bedroom units within Stone Flats start in the high $300,000s while two-bedrooms start in the mid $600,000s.
All residents of the new community can expect to find high ceilings with large windows and luxury finishes, ranging from quartz countertops and name-brand appliances to wide-plank hardwoods. Other enviable features include the open kitchens, large soaking tubs and energy efficient design elements. The exterior of the red brick and stone building is modern and inviting, with controlled access for security and even an EV car charging station for the convenience of residents, plus a handful of parking spaces.
The exciting location adds to a small selection of new condo buildings at home not far from the H Street Corridor and the Atlas District, just to the east of Eastern Market and Barracks Row. This puts new residents close to numerous options in dining and entertainment, all from a convenient Capitol Hill address.
