Reince Priebus Buys In Hollindale
Another key member of the Trump administration is putting down roots in the DC area, this time just outside the Beltway. According to recent reports, White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus recently purchased a two-story, new construction home in Hollindale.
Sold for $1.25 million in mid January, the home is only about 12 miles from the White House and about five miles away from Mount Vernon. The single-family home offers five-bedrooms, 5.5-baths, a finished basement and plenty of upgrades throughout. It also supplies more than 6,100 square feet of living space and a spacious, three-quarters of an acre lot, plenty of room for Priebus and his young family to enjoy while he begins his new job working for newly elected President Donald Trump.
While Priebus is not exactly a new face in the political world, he formerly chaired the Republican National Committee and served as chair of the Wisconsin Republican Party, he does join a growing list of those in the Trump administration either purchasing real estate or in the market for new homes in the DC area. First daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband recently chose a home, themselves, in Kalorama Heights.
Hollindale is adjacent to the small neighborhood of Hollin Hills is known for its tall trees and rolling hills, sitting on the National Register of Historic Places. In contains many modern, mid-century style homes, with a combination of one- and two-story floor plans. Located just to the south of Alexandria, the neighborhood is found about a mile to the west of the Potomac River.
With only single-family residences to choose from, residents enjoy the open space that living in Hollindale provides, with few fences to break up the property lines, enclosed by dozens of acres of wooded parkland. For convenience, area grocery stores and major retailers are just a short drive away from the community.
