Mika Brzezinski Buys in Georgetown

MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski will be living in a Georgetown condo soon, after paying $925,000 in June, for a Phillips School condo on Olive Street, NW.  The unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The Phillips School condos are convenient to M Street and the luxury Four Season Hotel.  The location is great, just a block off Rock Creek Park.  One of the most desirable neighborhoods in all of DC, the upscale Georgetown neighborhood offers Rock Creek Park jogging and bike trails, many shopping and dining options, and walking distance to the center of Georgetown and Dupont Circle.

The 1890 Phillips School was converted to condos in 2003, and has been completely renovated.  Originally a federal schoolhouse, the building is located on Olive Street between 27th and 28th Streets in Georgetown.  The 3-story building features 14 condos, including extra storage and a designated parking space in a gated parking lot.  Many of the units have custom finishes with hardwood floors throughout as well as high ceilings and top-of-the-line appliances.

Brzezinski paid $60,000 below list price for the 1,075 square foot unit.  Previously, it had sold for $669,000 in 2003.  Brzezinski currently lives in New York full-time where the “Morning Joe” is produced; she co-hosts the show with Joe Scarborough.  Brzezinski is the author of the best-selling book, Knowing Your Value. Her father is Zbigniew Brzezinski, who served as President Jimmy Carter’s National Security Advisor in 1977.
