Eric Holder Buys at CityCenter

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will soon be moving into a $1.5 million condo at the upscale Residences at CityCenter in the Penn Quarter neighborhood.  A 6-block walk from his office on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Attorney General Holder will be a neighbor to Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Mo) and her husband, who paid $2.7 million for their condo.  CityCenter is the latest brand new high-end condo project in downtown DC.    The upscale mixed-use development will feature retail on the ground floor, and condos above.

Sales have been strong at CityCenter located on 9th and H Streets, NW, the former home to the previous convention center.  Condos at CityCenter range in price from $417,000 to $1.7 million, although Sen. McCaskill’s $2.7 million condo is the priciest unit to sell to date.  With these two recent sales, CityCenter is quickly earning a reputation as the go-to condo building for DC’s political elite.

More than 50 condos have sold so far out of 216 in this brand new mixed-use development.  The condo units at CityCenter are well appointed with high-end features like Moteri cabinets and Miehle appliances in the kitchen.  Amenities for the building include a fitness center with private spa services and a yoga room; multiple terraces throughout the building; and a party room with private wine storage.  The mixed-use development will feature ground-level high end boutiques like Kate Spade, Tumi and Daniel Boulud’s DBGB Bar & Kitchen restaurant.
