The most expensive condo to sell in the District during August 2011 was in Georgetown at the Washington Harbour Condos located at 3030 K Street NW #108, Washington, DC.  This 2 BR / 3 BA, 2,603 SF penthouse condo includes two parking spaces.  The selling price was $2.275M / $874 SF which was 91% of asking price.

Honorable mention for the 2nd most expensive DC condo sold in August 2011 was in the West End at 22 West, located at 1177 22nd Street NW #8E, Washington, DC. This 3 BR / 3 BA, 2,232 SF condo includes two parking spaces.  The selling price was $1.933M

MarketWatch recently ranked Pennsylvania Avenue as the fifth most expensive street in the nation for commercial rental rates.  Rents on Pennsylvania Avenue, with great access to both the White House and Capitol Hill, are now averaging a whopping $80 SF.  Pennsylvania Avenue only trails a couple of notable streets including Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park and Fifth Avenue in New York.

Washingtonians looking for a sophisticated, yet hip condo in the 14th Street Corridor should definitely take a look at Union Row.  This project, developed by PN Hoffman includes both the Flats at Union Row and the Warehouses at Union Row.
